We'd like to invite you to join us!
When you join the Clearwater Sail and Power Squadron you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are in the company of individuals, couples, and families that share your love of boating.

We anticipate that you will be equally interested in advancing the objectives of our organization:  education of the public, education of members, participation in civic programs, and the creation of an atmosphere of friendship and camaraderie among members.

What are the main membership requirements?
Membership is by application, which must be proposed to a current member and seconded.  After squadron review of the application, an invitation is extended.  The requirements are:
1.)  To be at least 18 years of age (family members exempt)
2.)  Provide certification of passing a prescribed course, such as the USPS Basic Boating Courses.  (There may be course equivalents to satisfy this requirement.  Please contact us for more information.)

Upon completion of all requirements, the invitation is reviewed by the USPS national headquarters, which issues a certificate of membership.  Membership is not restricted to boat owners, nor any type of vessel.

Types of Membership

Family and Associate member - only enjoy privileges in accordance with the policy and authority of USPS relating to voting, holding elected office, or representation at specified meetings.
